An experienced collector is needed to perform outbound collection calls for first party home loan accounts. This job is located in Tinley Park, Illinois.

The job is tasked with contacting delinquent consumer loan borrowers via telephone, text, and email to collect payments in order to achieve the Company’s delinquency ratio goal.

OTHER DUTIES:

1. Contact delinquent customers daily via telephone, letter, email, or text message.

2. Work through an electronic collection queue and make notes as to progress daily.

3. Follow up daily on promises of payment.

4. Provide customer service to borrower regarding collection issues.

5. Advise management of situations that require more senior involvement such as bankruptcy, death of a borrower, etc.

6. Obtain updated contact information from borrowers and updates the loan software system.

7. Maintain collection record notes on the collection effort in the loan software system.

8. Work with Collection Area management to prepare reports and obtain information regarding loans.

9. Understand and comply with Collection Policies and Procedures of the Company and regulatory agencies.

10. Work constructively with the delinquent customers to ultimately cure the delinquent accounts.

11. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by supervisor or Management.

OTHER DESIRED SKILLS:

1. Bi-lingual: English and Spanish.

2. Five years consumer or mortgage debt collection experience.

3. Ability to work in a fast paced, highly detailed environment.

4. Strong communication skills.

5. Knowledge of mortgage products useful.
